FOR LAYING TRACKS
------
Two Solid Trains of Steel Rails Arrive in Roanoke
------
Roanoke News. Two solid trains of steel rails have arrived in Roanoke within the past few days. They came over the Shenandoah Valley division by way of Hagerstown. The first of these trains to reach the city was destined for the Virginian Railroad [sic] and consisted of ten cars. The second of the trains yarded in Roanoke this morning and consisted of nineteen cars and was intended for the Western division of the Norfolk and Western Railroad [sic]. Of the ten cars of rails for the Virginian nearly all of these have been forwarded to points where track is being laid, and from all accounts this work is being pushed very rapidly.
