Depot Improvements
The new train shed at the Norfolk and Western depot is being rapidly finished. Yesterday the last of the asphalt bricks were laid and the paving extends from the depot out to a point where the street crosses the tracks. The poles and arms for the superstructure have been placed in position and the work of putting on the roof will be commenced immediately. It is expected that the work will be completed in about ten days.
The new shed will be a great advantage to people who have to take trains from Graham as the passengers can wait the arrival of trains and be under cover all the time. Some of the Graham people think that the new plan means that when a new depot is erected it will be placed across the tracks from where it now stands.

[In 1908 the Graham passenger depot and freight station were located at the foot of Spruce Street. In later years the passenger station was located several blocks west of Spruce Street at the junction of the Clinch Valley line and the main line. The freight station remained at Spruce Street.]
