TWO CONTRACTORS GET DOUBLE TRACK MILEAGE
------
Resumption of Road Improvement Between Williamson and Welch
The awarding of contracts to Jno. T. McKinney and Moorman & Co. by the Norfolk & Western Railway for the construction of double tracking on the main line between Welch and Williamson is the first sign of the continuation of improvements abandoned several years ago. It is expected that contracts will be let in short while covering the entire single track mileage between these points.

[Maybe this resumption of work suspended because of the financial panic of 1907 was the result of the economic stimulus plan signed by the President today.]
