WORK WELL UNDER WAY
------
Between Four and Five Hundred Men Find Employment at Honaker
L. T. Jackson, of Honaker, accompanied by his little daughter Ethel, passed through the city today on his way to Monroe to look after business matters. Mr. Honaker, who is a businessman himself, says that work on the new office of the Honaker Lumber Company, is well under way and a big force of men is being employed. Walton & Company have started work on the railroad contract for the company, and in all between 400 and 500 men are being employed. There is lots of business activity at Honaker, and Mr. Jackson believes that the town and the surrounding country is going to reap a big crop of prosperity soon.

[As shown in previous postings this lumber railroad is what later became the N&W's Lewis Creek Branch.]
