SIGNALMAN KILLED
------
Did Not See Train Which Backed Up on Him and Crushed Out Life
A signalman, whose name could not be learned, employed by the Norfolk and Western, was instantly killed yesterday afternoon at Borderland.
The man, according to the report received here, was sitting on the track boring holes in the rail preparatory to installing an interlocking plant when an engine with a string of cars backed on him catching him unawares, and cutting his head entirely from the body as well as mashing his shoulders and chest. The remains were placed on board No. 16 and taken to Williamson.
