I'd have to see the two to be sure but it sounds like you have an original scalloped edges about the color of an unbleached coffee filter.
The other is probably a reproduction that I did for the very first N&WHS COnvention in 1985. White, maroon printing, straight edges. By now those ought to be collectors items in their own right.

I have to agree with Jim. To the best of my research, and what I've
seen and vaguely remember, the paper napkins were only lounge car
service, the different designs could easily be different orders from
different suppliers over time. I'd be interested in seeing a photo of
the two.
