Thanks for asking! The Norfolk & Western Historical Foundation does 
exist, and although it has not yet conducted any fund-raising 
efforts, it can, and gladly will accept donations. It is a tax-exempt 
organization whose sole reason for existence is to provide 
supplemental financial support for the Society's Archives program. 
Donations are tax-deductible. You may send a check payable to the 
Foundation to the Society's Roanoke address.

It is worth mentioning that while the foundation is a separate 
corporation, it is linked to the Society by its Bylaws, its 
tax-exempt status and its Board representation. The President of the 
Society is an ex officio member of the Foundation Board of Directors.
