	Bingo! Thanks to all who replied. Throughout the years as a
volunteer and regular crew member I've had several pictures given to me
by friends, but I never had a good one on 1218. I guess I'm likely the
last person to ever fire a class A up East River into Bluefield,
although if the stars and planets align I would gladly do it again! None
of us knew at the time that that would be the last time 1218 would go
there. I still remember how well the engine performed with the new tires
that had recently been put on her. Many great memories indeed!

			Hi all, 
			 
			My name is Mike Davis and I live in Thomasville,
NC. I have been interested in the N&W since I was a teenager. (I'm 45
now). I look forward to learning more about the N&W from the list. I do
have a question. I am trying to find a picture of 1218 taken on her last
trip to Bluefield on October 13, 1991. If any of you have a one,
especially the fireman-side going up East River or sitting in Bluefield,
I would be most interested in obtaining a copy as I was the fireman from
Vicker to Bluefield that day.
