WELCH NEWS NOTES

Raising Railway Grade
    The railway company has had a large force of hands at work here on the right of way [sic] for the past few days.  They are engaged in filling in the right-of-way, which will be two feet higher than formerly.  The tracks are also being moved nearer to the river to make way for the new depot which will be built nearer to the river than the present one.
