If you have GoogleEarth installed on your computer, check out the attached GoogleEarth placemark showing what must be the dump, er landfill, about five miles west of Waverly.  There is a wye connection to the NS main line.  In case anyone does not know this already, Waverly is on a 51.5-mile stretch of tangent double track between Brico (just west of Suffolk) and Poe (just east of Petersburg). It has been claimed that this is the longest double-track tangent in the US (at least the eastward track is straight; the westward track is deflected for middle track sidings at several locations).
