Railroads, Raids & Ruin

Those of you within a convenient drive of Roanoke may have received the attached notice about a Civil War seminar focused on the railroads' involvement in that conflict.  This included N&W predecessor railroads.  The deadline for registering for the April 9 event is this coming Monday, March 28.  At last report there is a question whether the required minimum number of registrations will be received by the deadline.  If you plan to attend, but have delayed registering, please register by calling the History Museum in Roanoke at 540 342-5770 (the website address is only for information).
