Jimmy:
A real shame about the unit-swap arrangement being canned.  Engineer on
the Shenandoah Div. also noted that there's no more "weight on drivers"
component either.  NS had imported a trainmaster to Norton in the late 80's.
He apparently O D'ed on martyr pills, spending 16-18 hours a day at the office. 
He micro-managed every move.  One crew swapped units six times - - - - and
they'd only been on duty 55 minutes.    Harry Bundy
