As a young lad hanging around the Bluefield call office in the 50's, I recall a lot of conversation about the hard days work on the "Graham Shifter". I assume that this was the beginning of those work days.

      The express business from the Clinch Valley section has been unusually heavy during the past week or so and the shipments from points down the Clinch are being unloaded here in great quantities for the coalfield trade,  Graham being the transfer point for these shipments.
