Broke Record at Lambert's Point
The Norfolk and Western broke the record at Lambert's Point on Monday, dumping coal. In all 31,700 tons were dumped, which is 5,000 more tons than has ever been dumped by the company.

[In 1911 Piers 1, 2 and 3 were in service. All three piers were high-level type where the loaded hopper cars were shoved up inclined tracks onto the piers and spotted over the particular chutes which lined up with a ship's holds.]
