Amtrak Excursions on N&W track

There will be three Amtrak excursions this Fall operating over former 
N&W and VGN rails.

The first trip on October 29 runs from Spencer, NC partly on tracks 
of the former Virginian Railway to Roanoke, VA. This trip is 
sponsored by the Watauga Valley Chapter NRHS.

The second trip on November 5 runs from Roanoke, VA through the 
beautiful country along the Radford Division to historic Abingdon, VA 
and Bristol VA/TN.

The third trip on November 6 runs from Roanoke, VA along the scenic 
New River to Bluefield, WV, highest point on the N&W main line.
