Putting in Copper Wires
The Norfolk and Western has had a force of men here for several days making some changes in its telegraph and telephone lines. The former wires where the lines cross the rail road are being replaced with copper wire and this work will be carried out from Graham to Columbus. It is claimed the gases from the engines soon destroy the ordinary telegraph and telephone wires, which is not the case with the copper ones, hence the changes.
