That could be. But, you know, the funny part is that the Company never told us about them (the holders). I really don't think the supervisors even knew that the engines were equipped with them. Actually, I remember seeing one on one of the little "butt heads" that we used , and still do, on the Shop Track Crew (#2200s/2300s, I believe). I pointed it out to a Trainmaster who said he had never seen one before! This seemed strange, because they were always getting on us about hanging them on the handrails. They have to be someplace so as not to interfere with mounting or dismounting the engine.

Thanks for clearing all of that up. I wonder if the units you saw the stick holders on were mainly used in the yard?
