N&W Ring

I have seen "shop made" rings many years ago (1970s?). What I remember about the ones I saw was that they were a very plain smooth ring (no carvings on the side) and they had an N&W Ry Conductor's passenger uniform button mounted on the top.Very nice looking.

A friend of a friend found an N&W ring at a flea market.  A man who was also interested
in buying the ring said they made the rings in the N&W shops.  Does anyone kow anything about them or  
know where to find any info?
