Norfolk Southern to discontinue certain railcar sorting operations in Roanoke

Sad......but hard business decisions must be made to best support the overall health of the corporation, its employees as a whole, andcertainly their shareholders.  NS is a very well managed corporation and I'm sure this decision wasn't made lightly......... and was arrived at through the use of proper operational data, forecasting, and modeling.   Still sad.
