name of the J-class

Someone asked what N&W called the class J locomotive.  I refer to the narration of the late, great Danny Dark who narrated the History Channel's Trains Unlimited series sometimes.  Quoting as near as I can, "In Virginia, these Southerners called their 4-8-4 the 'J'."
Danny Dark did the Keebler Elf commercials in the 70's--"Uncommonly Good"  While that still may not answer the question, I can still hear his rich voice saying it.
