During the recent NRHS/SRHA mini-con in Winston-Salem, Jim and I had  
occasion to compare our respective Bluefield backgrounds.  We are BOTH old  
enough to appreciate that song.  Thanks for the memory!

I'm not sure you were old enough to  appreciate
rock and roll music of the late 50s.   The ACL's E  units
were involved in a phenominal number of grade
crossing collisions and  crews named them
for a popular song of the day -- Flying  Purple
