You're going to have supply subtle bracketed-work to date them . . . paint schemes, revisions to the piers, automobile years, etc.  Most C&O shots seem to be in the 1920-30 with a few going into the 40s  (examples: C&O NN Pier 9 doesn't have traveling bunkers yet, but Pier 14 has been built, and sizes of the colliers.  Only two Brownhoist dumpers at Presque Isle, etc.)
