Fred Reburn

We learned today that NWHS member Fred Reburn has passed away.

Fred worked at Island Yard as a brakeman.  He was disabled after being
struck by a large tree branch while switching a train in the dark one
night. They had to place Fred in the ambulance with the branch still stuck
through his arm.

Fred gave us all a walking tour of Percival's Island during the 2002 NWHS
Lynchburg convention showing us what little remained of Island Yard.

Many folks may know Fred for his large wooden models of N&W steam
locomotives and rolling stock.

Fred will be missed by all who knew him.
