PRR stock holdings of N&W

Most of the shares were sold as a condition of N&W’s 1964 merger and PRR’s upcoming merger with NYC.  There was a drawdown of the remaining shares and divestiture was not complete until 1972.
 
One interesting note about PRR stock -- Wabash officials received PRR stock
in their retirement account.  Some had been purchased at $120-130 per share.
Because there were limitations on selling the stock before retirement,  they could
watch their retirement funding dissolve daily.           Harry Bundy
