A Class 1238-1242 Scrap Dates

As of June 8, 1959 only one of those had been retired – 1242 at Shaffers Crossing in April.  Three more were retired later in June and 1240 in August.

Subject: A Class 1238-1242 Scrap Dates

I recently picked up an image of an A Class with front number plate missing and cab side numbers painted over at Roanoke June 8, 1959. The A has roller bearing side rods.  

Curious as to scrapping dates of 1238-1242.
