You could never do away with those . That’s really the only thing keeping us who work outside or around equipment

safe. Every grocery store bag boy , utility worker , railroader , construction worker must wear one. It’s sort of like wearing

a condom during sex it protects you from everything. They do have their place put are really over emphasized. You can’t 

go down a street anywhere and not see one. Some Railfans love them they like to wear them when chasing makes them 

feel more like their part of what’s happening . Now that I pointed his out you will start laughing when you start noticing

how many are out their

With all the comments about the authenticity of the refurbished 611 one very obvious 21st Century visual in the current test run videos is the dayglow vests worn by the crew and support staff. No suggestion as to their elimination intended.
