VGN SB 0-8-0

No information is available about specific modifications and when.  Early photos on the Virginian show the SB’s appearing like on C&O but with VGN lettering.  Later photos show what appears the whole class having the check valves raised.  Individual engines were modified such as the 241 got a cantilever-mounted bell like the N&W S-1’s and the 251  had a turbo generator relocated ahead of the stack.  These last changes were not applied across the whole class.
