Classification Badge Plate Dimensions

Hello all,
I was curious as to what the dimensions (height, width, depth) of the
classification badge plates found on the J, A, Y6, Y6a, Y6b, S1, and S1a
were, and the what the height of the lettering was.

Also, what were they made of? Brass, bronze, or neither?
