PRR bought a group of Pg coaches in 1964-5 at the time of the World's Fair in New York. Additional coaches were needed because of the increace in passenger traffic to the event. I'm nut sure of the exact number, but I think it was 8. PRR did assign a block of numbers 1300-1307 to coaches with a length of 79'4". That matches N&W Pg diagrams. I remember seeing the coaches moving north in an N&W freight at Shepherdstown. In the same time frame, N&W sold all 20 of their 10-6 Budd sleeping cars to PRR for conversion to coaches. As late as the 1980's one of the Pg coaches sat parked at PRR's Enola, PA locomotive shop. It was stationary with metal steps built to enter the car from one end. I don't know what its purpose was then.

Anyone have any idea if any N&W "Pg" coaches were sold/tranferred to PRR? Ran across this image today on George Elwood's website and was really surprised. Any help would be appreciated.
