Do you have the C&O Tower on the old N&W mainline about 1/4 mile east of Union Station, Lynchburg? It still stands where the two railroads crossed with N&W going onto Island Yard.

Just east of Petersburg Union Station, there was an interlocking where
N&W's Old Line (Poe to Jack) crossed the original main line of the ACL.
Even before the War Between the States, it had been ACL's main line
Richmond-Weldon.
A 1944 Richmond Division timetable confirms that there was a telegraph
office there, but doesn't designate ownership. Next trip to the archives,
I'll research ICC's 1917 inventory to see if it's listed as N&W. If not, it's ACL.
In N&W Norfolk Division timetables of the 1960s, it's shown as "X-A'.
