Yes, I rode over it one time. I was out with some buddies on a Friday
night and got home to find I was called off the Gambrinus extra board to
deadhead to Brewster for a 2 AM start. Having not used my 8 hours rest,
I was foggy from the outset, but being an "engine helper" (once known as
fireman) my lack of acuity was not of any consequence. I called the
aspects of signals on the main tracks, but no one needed my eyes for any
signals waved by a lantern. It was late Autumn, so we were back on the
dock at Brewster by the time there was a hint of light in the sky. I'll
let you be the judge if I qualified.
