​Where did the Cannonball originate its run and where did it end?


No. 21, the Cannonball for New York originated at Norfolk (engine
crew reported at Lamberts Point) and it carried a Norfolk-New York
sleeper.  Coach passengers had to change trains at Richmond.

The Norfolk-bound Cannonball picked up a through sleeper from
New York at Richmond, and the crew went back on duty there.

Here's the odd thing -- home terminal for the Cannonball crews was
