611 towed from Norfolk story of 1982 I think

In 1982, after being burned at Norfolk, twice, they were a bit scared of attempting it at Poe. So they proceeded west, I don’t know if they turned it at Kinney Yard or not, I just remember the steam crew got to Roanoke not too many hours before scheduled departure of 8 am for Alexandria. It was a long slow move, definitely. I was under the impression that it was a 15 mph move, not 25 in reverse, but like Bob said, it was a long time ago!
