N&W "Peavine" (Portsmouth to Cincinnati) CTC

 We are unearthing a lot of great N&W-centric signal information on here
lately. With that, here is an article that may interest some of us west of
Portsmouth.

With the blessings of the moderator, you'll find a link to the 1948 Railway
Signaling journal story on the CTC on the single track Cincinnati District
(aka the Peavine).

What's interesting in the reading is that, while the N&W has standardized
signal aspects, several special situation on this district required various
additional signal aspects.
