N& Wheeling District Chagrin Falls Branch

The Chagrin Falls Branch diverted from the Canton District at Falls Jct.
It was laid in 90# rail.  When was it abandoned ?  Well, the Canton
District had been the original W&LE's route to Cleveland from Harmon
(near Brewster).then the W&LE became a part of NKP.  N&W's Pittsburgh
Division Time Table    #7 (eff. 7/15/1979) shows that the Chagrin
Falls Branch  was still in place, but the 1993 Ohio Division track chart no
longer showed The Chagrin Falls Branch OR the Canton District.   NS
divested itself of the WLE part of the Pittsburg Division, and the Canton
District and Chagrin Falls Branch may still be in place on today's W&LE.
