NW-Sell-List ready!

Greetings N&WHS Members,
Thanks again to the members that worked hard to have a NW-Sell-List available to us all.
I agree that the recently activated NW-Sell-List will be a work in progress. Just because Norfolk Southern items are not currently allowed I would also say that rule may be a work in progress. As us old timers that actually rode behind original N&W steam powered passenger trains pass on, the younger members will associate with a NS Stallion Logo on the hood of “their” generations trains. Let’s never think of NS as the bad guys. If it weren’t for NS Steam Excursions the current group of railfans may not exist. Young railfans grow up to be old railfans. They will be the future members of the N&WHS or whatever it’s called in the future. My suggestion is that if the members want a sale list for NS items is to either have a separate list available or in the future include NS in the N&W/VGN Sale List if the members vote to do so. Just “Never Say Never”.

The startup rules for the list (as given by NWHS board of directors) are:

  *   No commercial or vendor sales permitted. Personal collection items only may be listed for sale.
  *   Items must be related to the N&W and it's predecessors.  Post 1982 (NS) is not permitted.
  *   The N&WHS will in no form be responsible for transactions (failed and successful) and will not take any action to settle any disputes. All transactions shall be based on the honor system.
  *   The moderators of this list will set additional rules and they shall govern.
  *   This list is not archived (there is no easy way to see previous postings).
  *   Posting to the list will include the posters email address for easy "reply-to".
  *   Typically you do not want to do a "reply-all". There is no need to reply to list for questions, etc. for a sales item.

This list of rules is of course subject to change.
This list is "brand new" and there may be some growing pains as we adjust configuration.
