Bob:I'm not sure this makes any difference, but Hagerstown (PRR) was what'sknown as a "joint facility". All the expenses are put in a bucket and paidby each railroad, usually according to the percentage of car count eachroad handled. Hagerstown (WM) -- best I recall, it was in the mid 1970swhen N&W first initiated a run-through to the WM at Hagerstown. One otherpoint -- there were no N&W people at Hagerstown-PRR. The "old-timers"told me that when a piggyback flyer initiated in the 1950s that originatedin Bristol, N&W did its best to expedite the movement, only to have Hagerstown(PRR) hold the TOFC traffic until convenient to handle. Harry Bundy P.S. Those units terminating on the WM, usually came back to the PRR facility for service.
