Hagerstown question

Bob:I'm not sure this makes any difference, but Hagerstown  (PRR)  was what'sknown as a "joint facility".  All the expenses are put in a bucket and paidby each railroad, usually according to the percentage of car count eachroad handled.   Hagerstown (WM) -- best I recall, it was in the mid 1970swhen N&W first initiated  a run-through to the WM at Hagerstown.  One otherpoint -- there were no N&W people at Hagerstown-PRR.  The "old-timers"told me that when a piggyback flyer initiated in the 1950s that originatedin Bristol, N&W did its best to expedite the movement, only to have Hagerstown(PRR) hold the TOFC traffic until convenient to handle.
