Mike, Ed, Harry, et al,

I suspected this discussion might ensue.  If Harry wished to make our hill
into his mountain I decided to go along with him.  In actuality it is a
distant foothill to Walker Mountain. If one draws a meridian line from the
foothill towards the crest line of Walker Mountain,  the lines intersect at
a distance of two miles from the foothill, at an elevation 800 feet
+/- higher than the foothill.

In regard to another question, yes,  Big Walker Mountain is crossed by U.S.
Rte. 52.

In Wythe County a Little Walker Mountain has entered the scene.

I-77 passes over Little Walker Mountain through an open cut, passes across
a valley and pierces Big Walker Mountain though the two tunnels.
