Not sure exactly what you're asking . if your referring to the Stlye B signals that where converted for train order signals they displayed same as all  train order signals and the lower 90deg position was not available. And I believe they used the S style mechanism to obtain that

Hello all,

In the 1950s, if a train was to pick up orders while passing a station (without stopping) and the station had a lower quadrant semaphore-style train order signal, what position would the blade be in—horizontal, full down or middle position?
