Allow me to weigh in. . . . I ordered two bags last month.   I am a bold, dark roast guy (French roast, Italian Roast, Espresso roast) and found this to be a light to medium roast with not much finish and not bold enough for me.   
I understand from the commissary that whole bean coffee in this Norfolk and Western roast is available, and that's what I would order, if there is a next time, because I think pre-ground simply doesn't hold its flavor profile and aroma the longer you have it. So if I order again I would get the whole bean bag and then grind as I use it. It might be helpful, too, if the commissary were to specify that this is a light to medium roast for future consumers who prefer a darker, bolder roast.
