I would really like to know more about all details of NW/NSsignal systems.

N&W ? Maybe not.  In 1959, N&W inherited Virginian Railwayinterlockings and CTC.  N&W used Union Switch & Signal equipmentand Virginian had installed General Railway Signal  (GRS).  The trackpanel and levers made making a "line-up" on GRS easier to comprehend.                                                                    Harry Bundy
