Greetings,
Brad Dobbins just informed me that the last surviving N&W Y3 is located in the Illinois Railway Museum. Wow, I had no idea! Sometimes I feel like I live on a deserted island. Thanks to Brad and my other friends that keep me informed about these things! Ha! The UP Snow Plow restoration looks nice.
Regards,
Norris

Major painting work has been completed on Union Pacific 900075, the museum's iconic rotary snow plow, and its tender, pictured here. Work begins on Armco B-71
Volunteers in the museum's Diesel Department have brought Armco B-71, one of the museum's oldest and most historic diesels, into the shop for cosmetic restoration. This rare engine was built in 1930 by Westinghouse and was known as a "Visibility Cab" locomotive: one of the first end-cab diesel switchers. The plan is to repaint it for placement on public display.
