Then there must have been 2 A's with the mis-matched crosshead swap as I have a video of an A and the photographer actually captured it dropping. Left side. The A was passing another train (Z-1?) switching when it dropped. I think it was the video by Main Line Motion Pictures. This wasn't a roll over. Without going back and looking at the video I think it may have been 1209 or 1210. It must have been one of the first series of engines as it was a multiple bearing type. The video shows lots of straw hat folks and shop men taking down the left side to get her to the shop.

It was taken into Portsmouth shop and repaired and to expedite its return to service it got the front engine of the 1213 (Alligator crosshead guides) which was being overhauled.  When the 1213 was outshoppe it had 1205’s front dngine.  I have photos of both in the book.  They kept the mismatched front engines until the end.  Neither “dropped a crosshead guide”.  The heavy guide yoke kept the bottom guide of the Alligator assembly from dropping and the multiple-bearing guide was equally secure. - Ed KingThanks! Roger Huber Deer Creek Locomotive Works
