Two K2's had tender doghouses, 125 and 126. The few photos I can find of them show them working Norfolk Division local freights and sometimes passenger locals 7 and 8. I could not quickly find other views. The two photos here are from the Prince book, page 168. These engines had doghouses from early on and not just in the last years of steam. Two good photos in Thieme's book page 22 and 49, but not at an angle where you can see the doghouses.
Can anyone else weigh in on why 125 and 126 seem to be the only two ever outfitted?

Subject: Questions
I was wondering about some N&W steamer stuff and want to see if anyone knows the answers.
Did all J's receive doghouses near the end?
Did any K-2's get doghouses?
What 2 A's swapped front engine assemblies when the one dropped the crosshead guide?
How long did they run this way?
Thanks!
