Shenandoah Division passenger service, 1897

Hello, all:

Attached is an 1897 public timetable for through passenger services via the Shenandoah Division.  The connection between the B&O and N&W at Shenandoah Junction for transferring one or more sleeping cars between B&O and N&W trains at that location must have been interesting.  The alternative was that the same passenger train consist continued between Washington and Roanoke, but a locomotive change would likely have still been required.  I welcome information regarding the details about how this through service was performed.
