Neill,
     I think you will find that the brakeman was riding in the caboose, 
not the doghouse. Go back and listen closer to Mr. Link's comments where 
he says that the wind is blowing "from me to him". Apparently a window 
was cracked and "Bernoulli's Principle" did the rest.
