Info on Train 5 request

Reel #1 - Traffic Control was late coming to the Clinch Valley District and#5 received orders at Graham Tower ("HQ" I believe was the symbol).  Astold by the Late Guy Kelly, engineer and Road Foreman of Engines), onceorders were handed up  at 'HQ", the crew had about 1. miles to review ordersreceived before passing the west end of Furnace passing siding.  Sloworders could be set aside for later, but the crew HAD to make certain therewere no "meet" or "wait at" or "right over" orders that restricted their passingFurnace.  Considering the Bluefield VA stop, the crew on No. 5 MAY havepaused at Furnace to confirm that their rights weren't superseded. Meet withan eastbound there ?  Possibly.  

Regarding unlisted station stops -- Pocahontas Div. Time Table #9, eff.July 21.1955 under Special Instructions #6 - STATIONS FOR WHICH NOTIME IS SHOWN:  "Nos. 5 and 6 will stop at Hockman, St. CLair, Bailey,Wittens Mill, Five Oaks, Pisgah, Maxwelll, Cliffield, Doran, Gardner, PutmanArtrip, Virginia City, Dwina, Pine, and Ramsey on signal,"  The agent mayhave stopped the train for passengers or Railway Express.   Harry Bundy
