Larry:ICC's Locomotive Inspection unit investigated boilerexplosions AND other injuries or deaths caused bymechanical failure.  The Locomotive Inspection Bureaudid issue reports, but they did not have the distributionthat the Safety reports had and consequently they arehard to come by.  Bob Harvey  also took his time todevelop a listing of N&W mechanical incidents and luckily, I have a copy.
