Car weighing locations on the N&W and their abbreviations

James Wall:You ARE correct - Wilcoe is on the Tug Fork Branchand Farm (a railroad name)  is located on the main linewest of Caples, so they're about 7 miles apart. Farm hadbeen a coal and water station in steam days and I'mnot sure how this may  come into play, but trains fromBluefield en route to the Tug Fork Branch have to headin to the yard at Farm, run around their train, then headeast to the Tug Fork connection.  There is no way to headinto the branch from the east. Possibly, Farm is the weighstation for Wilcoe loads, maybe other stations too.                                                   Harry Bundy
