*Moveable Bridges* on the N&W - Staffing ?

On Norfolk Terminal, the N&W bridges (Bridge #5 and Bridge #7) werebascule type spans in automatic block territory and staffed withoperator-levermen.  The Eastern Branch and Southern Branch  bridgeswere swing spans and were staffed by M/W employees.  EasternBranch was in signaled territory (Rule 251 ?), but I don't know aboutSouthern Branch.  The Supt. of Signals on Norfolk Terminal, "MAC"McDaniel,  oversaw four bridges, and signals manufactured by GRS(on the VGN) and US&S (N&W).                     Harry Bundy
